Biography & Class Description
Debora Balardini has been acting and dancing for the past 20 years in several countries, including Japan, Argentina, United States and her native Brazil. She is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Woodbourne, NY where she studies with her masters Swami Sadasivananda and Swami Srinivasananda. She has been teaching in various studios in the New York area, and is willing to bring the mind and body union concept to the field of arts.
Hatha Yoga Sivananda Style
All are welcome to experience an hour and a half of breathing and stretching of the mind.
Classes start with relaxation (Savasana) followed by cleansing and breathing exercises (Pranayama). The warm-up (Sun Salutation, single and double leg raises) prepares the body for the practice of 12 basic postures (Asanas). Each posture is followed by a relaxation so the body can recover and be ready for the next posture. A final and longer relaxation brings the body into an energized state.
