Theatre Dance & Lyrical
These classes start with a warm-up designed to reinforce body alignment, balance, strength stretching and technique. Following the warm-up is a series of across the floor exercises, consisting of turns and jumps in combination. Finally, original choreography is taught in which musicality and expression are emphasized, along with good technique. These classes are formed through a combination of different techniques of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance.
Diego describes his musical theater work as “Contemporary Theatre” and his lyrical work as “Urban Lyrical.”
Testimonials
"I have been taking Diego's classes for a while and I love it! I am a relative beginner, yet I found his classes extremely welcoming and non-intimidating. He encourages his students to do their best and likes to establish a personal relationship with everyone in his class, monitoring their individual progress... which I haven't found to be the case with many teachers. I like the format of his classes - I think they are great for both advanced and beginner dancers, as floor work and combinations can be adapted to different levels. His warm-up is similarly varied, with stretch, strengthening, and technique exercises. In addition, Diego has a dynamic personality and makes his classes plain fun!
Overall, he is one of my favorite teachers (and I have tried many) and I am looking forward to taking his classes for a long time!"

His classes are full of energy and passion and his enthusiasm and love for dance is contagious. Not only does he work you on your technique but his combinations are full of such expression and emotion that you get an incredibly full dance experience that pushes you to be your best! I highly encourage everyone to take his class!"

"Diego is a fantastic teacher. He gives everyone the individual attention
they need while not taking away from anyone in the class at the same time.
The way I listen to music has improved as well as my overall confidence, and
dance technique. I'm so much more excited to take class when I know that
he's is teaching because he brings his love for dance and shares it with
everyone around him. He is truly a treasure, and since I've started taking
his class, I can't imagine dancing and taking class without him being there,
inspiring me."
