Biography & Class Description & Testimonials

Hitomi has danced throughout Japan, Denmark, Israel, Europe, the Caribbean and the U.S.  She has been featured in movies for the Walt Disney Company, performed as a soloist in commercials for NASDAQ, worked as a principal adagio dancer in Las Vegas and was a lead dancer for the Costa Cruise Line.  She has worked with choreographers Carmen de Lavallade, Miguel Godreau, Donald Mackyle and Billy Wilson.  She has taught ballet and jazz in Tokyo at the Piccolo Ballet Company, Hiroshi Leki Jazz Dance Company and Studio FAME.  In the U.S., she has taught at NDG, Broadway Dance Center, Ballet Arts at City Center and Steps.  Hitomi continues to be an inspiration as a teacher and performer throughout the U.S. and Japan.

Basic Beginner Ballet

This class is an introduction to ballet technique, both for those who have never previously taken ballet and for those who would simply like to experience the joy of dance!

Beginner Ballet

This class is designed for the beginner student. The class emphasizes proper placement of the body and includes exercises that allow students to develop flexibility and also strengthen the correct muscles for proper ballet technique. Students will begin to notice musicality and coordination in their dancing. They will find individuality and personal style in their dancing, regardless of ability level.
