Modern Dance
| Dance is the expressive medium of the heart, mind and soul. In this class, students will understand and analyze how feelings become form, exploring a vocabulary of meaningful movement that springs directly from emotions with visceral strength. They will explore layers of character driven drama and break apart quotidian social gestures using imagination, interpretation and body coordination and control. The class looks not only at “what you dance”, but also at “why you dance.” The answer reveals a whole range of movement potential and helps to build a bridge in interpretative dance. Anabella works with joy, challenging dancers and actors technically, as well as creatively, demanding a strong individual performance and cohesive ensemble work. |
