Biography & Class Description

Matt Ruiz has been teaching Salsa since 2002. He began teaching at Arthur Murray where he was certified in Ballroom Dance. Since then he has studied with Ballroom greats such as Nick and Lena Kosovich and Valentina from "Dancing with the Stars." He was one of the founders of The Linden Street Dance Studio and has performed in shows such as: The King and I, The Wizard of Oz and Oklahoma! as well as many others. Matt believes that everyone can dance and with a little guidance anyone can find the salsa in their soul!

This open level class is designed with the everyday person in mind that wants to experience the hot-blooded rhythm and spicy feel of this extremely popular club dance-SALSA!

No partner required, but couples are welcome! Class will commence with a warm-up and continue into an array of different elements such as; leading and following dynamics, Cuban hip motion, sensitivity, style, fluidity of movement, sequencing, pulsating rhythms and patterns....So relax and have F.U.N. FUN!!!
