Biography & Class Description
Spex's career took off when he appeared in music videos with such artists as Mariah Carey, Joe, Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and more. Spex has toured internationally in Japan and France, and he made his Off-Broadway debut in the 2002 Full Circle Productions show entitled Soular Power'd at the New Victory Theater. He continues as a member of the Full Circle Dance Company, touring throughout the U.S., including the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, and abroad. Spex is currently part owner with founder Brian "Footwork" Green of the House Dance Conference, a monthly event providing a platform for entertainment, dance and education. Spex continues to teach and perform nationally and internationally, and is most happy about having his dream come true.
Hip-Hop
This class, called Hip-Hop Fundamentals, is designed to put the “fun” in fundamentals. If you ever wanted to learn the party dances in Hip-Hop that influence music videos, and apply them to routines, then this class if for you. This class will help students learn the basic grooves and techniques of various dances in hip-hop and its influences. The basics are broken down during the warm-up and choreography so that students can learn how to apply these steps in their freestyle, while auditioning, or just for fun at parties.
