Biography & Class Description

Joey Taddeo is a football player turned Hip-Hop choreographer and dancer. Using his athletic skills as a catapult, Joey is quickly moving the Hip-Hop community. He has taught at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance in New York City, and has taught for the University of Utah Crimson Line Dance Team. His most recent projects include choreographing for the New York City Dance Alliance Summer Intensive, serving as assistant choreographer for the off-Broadway revival of Starmites and choreographing a Hip-Hop show for the Surfrider Foundation. Joey has also been picked up by MSA Talent Agency, and was recently a principal dancer in the movie, The Great Observer, choreographed by three time Tony Award winner, Hinton Battle. He was also recently featured in a Verizon commercial.

Joey’s style has a very modern feel which gives his choreography a new sexy, smooth look to go along with an old school street style. His choreography exudes a fun, free flowing, freestyle type of energy which express his motto, “live while you dance.”

Hatha Yoga Sivananda Style

This smooth blend of old and new Hip-Hop is invigorating to the soul. A new, smooth, sexy style will be combined with old-school street style of breaking and popping. Emphasis is placed on style, presentation and telling the stories of both Hip-Hop and R&B songs. Most all, this class embraces the motto of living to your fullest potential while you are dancing.
