Time Square Kidz

Auditions on Saturday, September 13, 2008

TSKidz is a performance-based, school-year training program supervised by NDG Artistic Director Rick Schussel.  Youth members will participate in Theatre, Dance and Voice classes. New Dance Group will showcase their talents at selected performance venues throughout New York City.

There is a non-union audition to be admitted into the program.  Pre-registration is required.

Audition slots available from 11:00am - 3:00pm

305 West 38th Street @ Eighth Avenue

Ages: 9 - 16

No previous experience necessary

Prepare 16 - 32 bars of any song

Acapella or with accompanist (Bring sheet music with you if you plan to sing with the accompanist.)

Bring a headshot and resume, if applicable

One parent/guardian must accompany each youth

$10 audition fee payable at audition with cash or check

Call-backs will be held on Saturday, September 20, and will involve dancing and acting. 

To sign-up for a 5-minute audition, please call 212.904.1990 x110 or e-mail RSVP@ndg.org.  You will then be contacted with your assigned time slot.  Walk-ins will be accomodated to the best of our ability. 

Participants accepted into the Times Square Kidz program will have 3-hour classes on Saturday afternoons, 2-hour classes on Mondays after school and also on an occasional Thursday, if performance preparation is warranted.  Performance dates are TBD. Classes will commence in October 2008 and end June 2009.  The classic Times Square Kidz repertoire will be taught in addition to new material.  Each participant must be prepared to pay a $1000 membership fee that covers the entire school year.
